Homemade Syrup

This is a recipe that I have been using for YEARS to make our own syrup. It is very easy and very inexpensive to make. I made a batch this morning for our French toast. YUMMM!

You will need to get Mapleine maple flavoring to make this syrup. You can buy this in your grocery store and it will be located down the baking aisle. A 2 fluid oz bottle here costs me $3.29.
To make your own syrup you will need:

2 Tablespoons water
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups corn syrup
1/2 - 3/4 teaspoon Mapleine (depending on how much
maple flavor you want)
You can also add butter flavoring if you desire. This too can be found down the baking aisle.
This recipe makes 1 pint of syrup

Add all ingredients together in a small saucepan. Boil 2 minutes. Syrup will thicken as it cools.

ENJOY!

I hope you all have a wonderful day. We are going to a Praise & Worship team get-together today and I need to finish making almond chicken salad to take with us. It is soooooooooo good!
