A Great Day

Woke up very late this morning and didn't have a chance to do my nails.  Got caught "nakie" at our local ice cream shop after church by someone who knew I sold Jamberry.  (EEEKKK) Not to worry, she left with a catalog, sample sheet and application instructions, a party date and a HUGE SMILE!  😄

Went to church and spent the day with three of Skippy's co-workers from Belgium, France and Puerto Rico.   We parked and had luch at Gathering Grounds, walked around town to the thelocal shops, 

Art Wharehouse, Chamber of Commerce and Hawksbill Trading Company.  Then a family trip to FLOTZIE'S to get the guys a cone.  I choose a bottle of water!  (pats self on the back!)  

GREAT DAY!!  ❤

A Moment To Remember

During the school year, G-Girl and I try once a week to go to our favorite coffee shop for some "US" time. No, kids, no husbands, just us. Since school just started for her daughter this past Monday, we decided to get things back to normal! lol

So, this morning, with Bibles and study books in hand, we went to "A Moment To Remember." Every time we go, we get the same table in the corner by the window. (I sit right over the a/c vent lol) It is so peaceful there and the staff is absolutely WONDERFUL!

A good friend, a cup of coffee, and The Word of God............It doesn't get any better than this! :> )

Welcome to the Farm! Sit down for a minute with a cup of your favorite something and relax.......take a deep breath.......yeah, that's it. Now don't you feel better?

Tea Talk is "normally" on Thursdays, but you'll understand more why mine is late if you choose to read on further!

I am having Spiced Vanilla Chai with French Vanilla coffee creamer. That's right, coffee creamer. I love the kind that Dunkin' Donuts used to make but since we don't live near one anymore (my waist is thanking me), I had to come up with my own version. The smell is amazing in itself!

My cup is one I got this morning from 7-11 when I went with my sister to the doctors. Hey, this Frugal Female will try and get as much use from something as I possible can!

I'm feeling GREAT today. Right now I have my precious grand-fur baby, Bailey on my lap, keeping me warm. We are waiting for my daughter and son-in-law to come over for dinner tonight to celebrate Goose's birthday. She turned 23 on Wednesday!

On my mind are things that I need to get organized for my sanity. I have gotten a bit lax lately in my keeping up with things in our home and in our homeschooling. Things are not where they should be, etc, and that is making it difficult for me on so many levels. It is amazing how so many things actually are intertwined and when one is off.....well.....you know how it goes!

Friendship

People today, have lost sight of what a true friendship is. So, in the spirit of my good friends, real life and on-line, I thought I would try and explain what true friends are.

Friends don't have to be exactly the same. They can have similarities, but they have their differences. We need to accept each other they way they are, faults and all. Be a WYSIWYG person (what you see is what you get), it's the best kind to be!

Friends should be able to argue! You can't always agree on everything. I think if you do, then you really are not being true.

You have to be comfortable together. You should never feel nervous or uptight, or feel like you are walking on egg shells. If you do, something isn't quite right.

Friends love each other UNCONDITIONALLY! Sure, we have our liitle "tiffs", but when all is said and done, we forgive and forget.

Believe in love at first sight because there IS the equivalent in friendship. You don't have to know someone for a really long time or really well to become good friends. Nor do you have to have met someone in-real-life. Many life-time friendships have grown with the only communication coming from chatting on-line or on the telephone.

Friends are FOREVER but only if YOU keep it that way! . Don't diss your buds, love them instead. And when they drive you crazy, love them that much more for being just a little bit different and maybe just a little bit quirky!

Today seems to be my day for crying, and I do have to say that Renee has been sweet enough to add to it! LOL (love you, Goober!) First, she sent me this cute "We Is Friends!" graphic, and then today, she left me this BEAUTIFUL friend poem in a comment. I hope you don't mind, but and I just had to share it with you.
