For My Skippy Man

Skippy has to work today and tomorrow after church is our Vacation Bible School set up so I will not be home to celebrate Father's Day with my hubby.  We were going to go out for breakfast this morning but no one wanted to get out of bed.  lol

My Skippy Man is hard to gift for because he never really says what he would like to have.  I love making homemade things.  I think I came up with the PERFECT gift this time since I do know ONE thing he likes to get......TOOLS!

I hope he likes it!

Relay For Life Memory Quilt 2015

Quiet Time

Because my life has been so busy lately and I've often been gone
more than I am home, I started to think that
I didn't have time to have my quiet time with the Lord.  Oh, so not true.
My precious friend gave me "Jesus Calling" for my
birthday and it fits right in my purse.
Honestly, I can no longer use the excuse
I'm not home, my quiet time will have to wait.
I can have my "much needed time with the Lord
ANYWHERE I am!
On my dear friend's back deck.....
 in Yorktown....
even in the park!

Things I've Been Busy Making

I recently got into wood burning and I LOVE IT!
My friend, M&M, sent me a picture of some decorative utensils she found
and I was hooked!
I have made some to be auctioned off for Relay For Life...
 and others were personal orders....
and some were for end of the year gifts for teachers
and some for family.

**********************************

I made an old time hoop game called Graces for Kiddo.
We first found out about this gameat Homeschool Days at
The New Market Battlefield.
He loved it so much he played it for
two hours that day in the hot sun!
**********************************

I have also been constructing and hand painting more palette boards.
Some I took
to the Festival Of Spring....
 and some
 I auctioned off
to reach our family donation goal
of $300.00 to Relay For Life
some were orders from facebook,
family and friends
and this one was a 1st birthday gift
to a precious young lady I am so blessed to know.
Little by little I am expanding things to put in my Etsy store.
I have also been thinking of whether or not I should do away with Etsy
and just have a web store or a blog.
Just not sure which direction would be best for me but I know with
prayer and asking the Lord for guidance, the answer will become clear!

Relay For Life Memory Quilt

My friend G-girl and I volunteered to make the Relay For Life Memory Quilt again this year.
We have had one delay after another, including me getting sick a few days ago.
We are going to have to pull a few late nights to get this quilt done on time.
PLEASE PRAY nothing else hinders us from completing this.
The Relay For Life Memory Quilt will be auctioned off
Friday evening. I will post a color picture of the completed quilt after the auction!

Healthy Pancakes

I was looking for a healthy pancake recipe and I find this one on pinterest. It's low calorie, high protein and I really LOVE it. It's obviously not your normal, carb-filled pancake so if you make this thinking that's what you'll get, you will be disappointed.

These pancakes have a great, delicate banana flavor and the texture is like the center of a piece of French toast or a crepe. This recipe is quick and EASY. All you need is 1 banana and 1 egg. I add some cinnamon and finely chopped walnuts to mine. Mash your ingredients together and cook on a hot skillet as you would a normal pancake. I used coconut oil in my pan instead of butter. I used honey on mine instead of syrup. YUMM!!
