What Are Friends For!!!!

This is Renee, If Laura changes this blog again, I will hold it Hostage!  LOL!
****************************************
THANK YOU, my sweet friend, for all your help today in putting my blog back together.  I greatly appreciate the time and effort that you so unselfishly gave.  I know there were many times that you wanted to  :(( and~x(, but you didn't.  Even when I acted like a :o)ranting about that HORRIBLY SCARY RABBIT we found on the internet, and it seemed like I went a little 8-}, you still stuck around and pushed me on.  And when I FINALLY would get SOMETHING right, you were right there, as always, with some encouraging =d> .   And even when I messed up the background and wound up having to kill the rooster (inside joke, not a real rooster, 'cause I just couldn't do that, I would :-& and then :(() you didn't give me the l-) sign.

So my friend, I just wanted to let you know how much you are  :x  and give you a great big 'ole >:d< !

You are. . . .

ONE IN A QUADRUPLEGAZILLION!

Farm T.V. - Episode 5

(PLEASE PAUSE MY PLAYLIST BEFORE VIEWING VIDEO!)

ROFLOL!

I was getting everything ready to grill a roast and thought I would take a pic and e-mail it to my sister.  I didn't see what was just on the other side of the railing until I uploaded my camera.  I guess I really should make sure I am wearing my glasses when I take pictures!  lol

Somehow I think the grill and Gena should NOT be in the same picture!  lol

Friends

"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up."
 Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Sewing With Boog

Last week, Boog came over to spend the night with us and to make a special gift for her mom.We saw a craft video awhile back for a teacup pincushion that she really wanted to make.  While we were out hitting some yard sales one weekend, she found, and purchased with her own money, the perfect teacup.  She was so EXCITED!

When she came over, she brought a piece of fabric she thought would be PERFECT and that her mom would love.  My sister would have loved it even if she made it out of a plastic bag!

Making the pincushion was easy.  All we did was cut out a big circle of fabric, stuffed the center really good with some polyfill, and tied it with an elastic pony-tail holder.  Then we made sure it wasn't too big and it fit down nicely into the teacup.  After that, we hot glued around the cup, set the stuffing down in, and gave it a gently push to adhere it to the cup.  Then we took some cute little straight pins and stuck them in the cushion.  You can get as simple or as fancy as you want with the fabric and the pins.  Maybe even add a little rick-rack or something around the rim.....the possibilities are ENDLESS!

After we finished the pincushion, Boog wanted to make something else for mom, so she decided on a small change purse in the same fabric.  Boog thought for a moment, and then just sat down and started sewing.  No pattern, just her imagination.  It is her dream to one day be a fashion designer.  I think she is well on her way!

So, what do you think?  Didn't she do a great job?

We had a fun time "Gettin' Crafty" together.  I hope we get to do it again real soon!

What Is Going On With Blogger?

Is anyone else having trouble loading pics today?  Nothing seems to be working right!  :> (

"I keep my end tables full of needlework and quilting so I don't have to dust them!"
~Author Unknown~

Skippy's parents have been here for a few days visiting from the Sunshine State.  We have gone to church, to Marker Miller Orchard, and Wal-Mart.  The rest of the time we have just been relaxing, not doing much of anything.....until today.  I started lining the chicken yard with wire so I can put momma and her babies out there and not worry that the little ones are getting out into the yard with the big girls.

Pat wanted to make a couple of aprons for her church's Holiday Bazaar in December so we spent the afternoon sewing away.  I love the fabric she picked out for the first one.  Such a pretty green.

In this next picture, she is ATTEMPTING to teach me how to read a sewing pattern.....GOOD LUCK, PAT!  lol  It's like trying to teach me how to read a map.  THANK GOD for my GPS!!!  lol

Tomorrow we will work on some more aprons and maybe even a bag or two.

WOO HOO!

Happy Birthday, My Skippy Man

“Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything!”
Ephesians 5:22-24

How do I begin to tell you how honored I am
To have you in my life?
I'll start by saying it was a dream come true
The day I became your wife.

You're my best friend in the good times
And my rock in times of sorrow.
You're the reason for sweet yesterdays
And my promise for tomorrow.

I never thought I could feel this loved
Until I became your wife.
You made this year and each other year
The best of my life!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!, MY SKIPPY MAN!
I LOVE YOU!
