A Much Needed Break

This weekend, Skippy, Kiddo, and I went to Pennsylvania to go visit my BESTEST, BESTEST FRIEND in the whole world. I have known B and her family all my life. We have been through so much together over the years. I haven't seen her since she was down for my mother's funeral back in 2004. It is amazing how plans we both had for the weekend changed at the last minute, freeing both of our families up. I truly believed that God intervened and made it possible for us to have this much needed time of fellowship. I truly needed to get away and my precious Heavenly Father met that need for me! We stayed Friday and Saturday with her and her family and had a WONDERFUL time. We arrived about 10:00-10:30 and stayed up and talked till 3:00. How awesome that was, however we were showing signs of our late night the following day....well, at least I was! On Saturday morning, B made us a delicious breakfast of pancakes, Canadian bacon, and coffee followed by homemade bread with apple butter. YUMM! Later that afternoon, we went to the Duquesne Incline. It was a beautiful yet cold and windy day as you can see from the pics. lol Here are a couple more taken at the incline.

This is the Heinz Stadium

Another view of the Heinz Stadium In October, they light this fountain in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month. AWESOME!!!

This building is where they filmed the outside shots for Inspector Gadget. Pretty cool, huh? I really liked the architecture of a lot of the buildings here.

Even thought the day was cold and windy, the boys had a good time. Kiddo and I, on the other hand, were "FREEZING!" lol

I just LOVE this picture of my Skippy Man and the one of B and me! :D

Aren't they all BEAUTIFUL! :D

I pray that we will not have to wait another 5 years before I get to see her again. She has been such a blessing to me throughout my life. I LOVE YOU, my sister!

Catching Up

I will just be honest and tell you that I have been on the lazy side these past few days. I have so much that I need to get done but have not had ANY desire to do any of it, which is NOT a good thing since I will be having a Mary Kay bridal shower here next Friday. EEEEKK!!! Well, today I do have that desire and I am going to TRY and play catch up the best I can. It is a BEAUTIFUL day outside so laundry is on the top of my list, and let me tell you, there is a LOT of it! I just hope my clothes line can handle it! lol

We are also on our last loaf of bread so that is priority #2. I found a WONDERFUL recipe over at The Simple Dollar. I have made it before and my family LOVED it! Then it's time for picking up, dusting, and then vacuuming. If I could eliminate one thing from my to do list, DUSTING would be IT. For me, it is the worst thing I have to do. I would rather clean out the litter box then dust! Yes, I know.....I'M WEIRD!

Well, if I want to get ANYTHING done, I need to get up from this contraption and get moving.

Have a great day, everyone!

My Beloved

(Please scroll to the bottom and pause playlist BEFORE viewing the video)

The first time I heard this song it brought me to tears and it STILL does. Never before had I heard a song that so quickly brought me into the presence of God. It is so beautiful I just had to share it with you.

Please take the time to watch and listen to this video clip. You won't be disappointed!

My Beloved

You're My Beloved You're My Bride
To sing over you is My delight
Come away with Me My love

Under My mercy Come and wait
Till we are standing face to face
I see no stain on you My child

You're Beautiful to Me
So Beautiful to Me

I sing over you My song of peace
Cast all your care down at My feet
Come and find your rest in Me

I'll breathe My life inside of you
I'll bear you up on eagle's wings
And hide you in the shadow of My strength
I'll take you to My quiet waters
I'll restore your soul
Come rest in Me and be made whole

You're My belovedYou're My Bride
To sing over you is my delight
Come away with me my love

New To Blogger

Hello, everyone! I am new to blogger but not new to blogging. I have been blogging over at http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/ilovemy3angelbabies since 2007 when we first started homeschooling our son. I was encouraged recently by my DH and Renee over at
G*L*O*W Academy to start another blog where I can share whatever I want AND still use HSB for homeschooling like I think it really should be for. I have tried to do just that, but more times then not, I would wind up blogging about something other then homeschooling.

So, here I am. I am seriously thinking of having more then one blog. I love to cook and share recipes with others. I asked Renee about that one and she is all for it! :D Man, you gotta love her! :D I also love to design blog templates for others, so maybe, I might have one for that also.

Please join me as I share with you my walk with God, my family, the ponderings of my heart, and lots of other things that are important to me!

Blessings~
Laura
