Aunt D & Uncle B

I have recently had to help put my Aunt D & Uncle B's things up for sale.  My Aunt D passed away in 2017 and my Uncle B recently moved to Colorado with his son as he wasn't able to live alone any more. 

I have had the honor of being able to purchase some things from their home and have now put them in our home as a beautiful reminder of such a special couple that mean so much to me.  I am so blessed to have known and loved them all my life! 💗

From their home 🏡 to ours.......

I remember seeing this jar in her kitchen but can't remember what was in it.  I now have it sitting on my kitchen counter holding my washing machine tabs but may change that to cookies......

 Her spice rack now holds my essential oils.....

A milking stool sits by our living room window and a lamp sits on the sill.....

(I really need to remove that aluminum foil from that plant and re-pot it! lol)

 A small table from a bedroom now sits in the hall by the side door.......

 A small footstool perfectly holds my War Binder supplies.....

(those containers under the couch are filled with family photos I need to go through)

And this cabinet that my Uncle built for their bathroom, now sits across the hall from our bathroom holding towels and other essentials.

These pieces are very special to me and I am so thankful to be able to keep them in our family.  I am also grateful that every time I load my dishes, use my essential oils, look out our living room window, go out the side door, work in my War Binder or grab a towel......I will think of them with love and remember all the beautiful times we were able to spend together in this lifetime.

I love you to God and back, Aunt D & Uncle Bill, and miss you both very, very much.  You will forever be in my heart! <3 br="">

Rascal Time

Rascal didn't want me to have my quiet time unless it involved him!  lol

Sweet Lord, thank you for our precious furbabies who love us unconditionally.  Thank you for this fuzzy guy and his sweet way of letting me know he just wanted some extra Rascal time! 💕

A Special Treat

I have been spending some good quality quiet time in my War Binder.  I have really enjoyed decorating it while spending time in The Word.  I have been keeping my supplies in a box inside a tote bag and it was getting a little bothersome to constantly remove everything to get to the box on the bottom.

I took Skippy to work this morning because I had a bunch of things on my to do list and needed the car. It started with my Girls Gathering group early this morning then on to pick up 3 dozen brown eggs I was getting from a dear friend we used to live near.  After that I had to run home and get Kiddo to take him to get his hair cut and a shave.  After he was done with that we were supposed to go grocery shopping but storms and the heavy downpour messed a lot of that up due to not being able to drive above a crawl on the interstate.  Because it took us so long to get to there we only had 20 mins to grocery shop so we had to scratch that off the list for today. 

Since we only had a few minutes before we had to leave to go get Skippy from work, we went to Micheal's since it was right across the street from the hair salon.

I was looking for the We R Memory Keepers shaped punches and was thrilled to find them on a Buy 1 Get 1 50% off sale. I bought WRMK washi tape punch and a Fiskars corner rounder.  I also found washi tape for $5 a tube, which was $10 off.   But my favorite deal of the day, my special treat to myself, was this craft organizer I found for 50% off, bringing it down to only $14.95.  WAHOO, COOKIE!!  😁

I love that now everything has a special place.  Pockets on the sides and front with a magnetic pocket......

Space for all my washi tapes and colored pencils.....

clear rubber stamps, note cards, stickers and punches.......

mini alphabet stamps, glue sticks, rubberbands to add extra inserts and a pair of scissors.

I'm excited that I was able to get some really great deals today and can't wait to get into my War Binder tomorrow!

Room Change

While our daughter and her family lived with is, this used to be the playroom for 'Lil Bean.  When they moved to the new home they purchased a few months ago, I turned it into a sun room......

where I enjoy my morning coffee.....

 relax...

gather my thoughts.....

 and have my quiet time with the Lord while working in my War Binder.

This room has become my happy place!

A Prayer For My Husband

Dear Lord,

I pray that my husband knows his purpose in life. Reveal to him what You desire him to do.  He is a man of many talents, a man of skills, a man of worthiness, a man with ability and a man with a heart to fulfill purpose.  I pray my husband will receive supernatural confidence, a motivator to help him follow through with anything You ask of him. I pray that his ears are sensitive to Your voice and that has has such an intimate relationship with You that he never misses an invitation to join You. 

I pray my husband will have the courage to fulfill his extraordinary purpose in life and that he sees it as such.  Holy Spirit, please remove any ounce of self-doubt from him so that he does not miss out on fulfilling that purpose.  Guard his life and his heart. Defend him against the enemy as he seeks to love You and do Your will. Clarify the calling You have for him and equip him so that he may be a good and faithful servant for You.  I ask this all in Your precious and Holy name....Amen!

Sweet Lord.....

Sweet Lord ~ We thank You for every breath that we take and for every day You give to us to honor and follow Your will.  We thank you for the beautiful gift of our family.

Today we pray that you keep each of our granddaughters in Your arms and safe from all harm.  Please prepare for them a godly man with a burning desire to follow You.  A husband whose love for her is only outmatched by his love for You.  A man who will cherish her and build her up.  A man who will be a good father and provider.   A man of integrity and courage.  A faithful, kind, gentle and honest man.  A man who never gives up and works hard.  A selfless and humble man.   A man who devotes himself to You and gives to others without complaint.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us........AMEN!

My New Morning Routine

I have been getting up early to start my day off with some quiet time with the Lord and write in my War Binder. I also started doing scripture writing and jotting down things I am grateful for daily.

At the moment my War Binder contains inserts for:

*Prayer requests and PRAISES
*Scripture Writing lists
*Scripture Writing
*Gratitude
*Quotes & Notes
*Skippy 😍 - letters & prayers for my husband
*A monthly calendar for daily cleaning schedule & other chores
*A 2-pocket folder
*Plastic pocket for stamps

I have inserts for but have not yet tabbed:

*My Quiver
*Bible Study/Life Group
*Daily Devotionals

I am also determined to not pick up my phone in the morning until I'm finished with my quiet time, making sure the most important priority on my list is done first every day!

I finally found a monthly planning insert at Hobby Lobby. Right now their planning kits are 40% off.  This is for my cleaning schedule and daily chores.

I added another insert, this one is for my husband.

My War Binder

I made some time over this past weekend to get started on my War Binder. I'll admit I've had it for months and have done nothing in/to it, but that is changing.  It's nothing fancy, but it's a start!
