Keeping Busy

It is a GORGEOUS day here on the farm.  Them temperature is in the high 70's - low 80's but the humidity is gone.  PRAISE THE LORD!!! Some days it has been absolutely horrible, like a wet blanket covering your entire body, making it difficult to breathe.  We are very happy for the reprieve and I am taking advantage of it to the fullest.

I have the doors and windows open and have been hanging all the laundry out to dry.  I love being outdoors so any chance I get, even it it's just to do laundry, I take it.
I have also been busy woodworking and sign painting to get caught up on my orders and also some benefit auction items.  These are just a few of the things I have been making.....

My two grandchildren -2/8 of my heart!

What have YOU been up to?

A Day With The Girls

I recently went with my Goose and Doodle Bug to White Oak Lavender Farm. It is a beautiful place with a gift shop, a cafe and lots of areas for you to pick your own bunches of lavender for a very good price.

They also had a few animals for the kids to pet...
 and to feed rocks! lol
Doodle Bug loved the baby pigs....
 and the big swings.
 My sweet girl!  <3 br="">
 Checkers anyone?
Someone loves to play with rocks and water.....no matter where it is!
Time to head home.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

On a day that we as Americans celebrate our independence and freedom, let us remember that eternal freedom is also available to us. Anyone who repents, trusts, and believes in the name of Jesus Christ will have far more than earthly freedom given to them. July 4th is a beautiful day of celebration, but it does not compare to the day you are granted eternal freedom by accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior!

SUNSHINE

Good morning!

It's a beautiful day to be outside and enjoy the sunshine.
Apparently, the theme at our house today is COFFEE & RELAXATION! lol

BUSY

Hey, everyone! Sorry I have not been consistent in my blogging for quite some time. Life just manages to always get in the way. I am definitely not saying that's a bad thing, just a fact. However, I would really LOVE to change that.

Things here have been busy.....but it's been a GOOD busy. Things with church, family and friends, watching Doodle Bug when I can, all while keeping our home and trying to keep our businesses up and running, which is no small feet. I have to say though, that I would much rather spend my days with my son and taking care of our granddaughter and hopefully soon, our grandson.

We did have a chance recently to go out shopping and then stop at SWEET FROG afterwards. Kiddo LOVES M&M's and as you will see......so does Doodle Bug! lol

These two just crack me up.  She loves her Uncle Kiddo very much!

My Doodle Bug

Granddaughter ~~
Through your eyes I see the future,
Through me you'll see the past,
In the present we'll love one another,
As long as these moments last!

From the day you were born, you turned my world upside down!

I LOVE YOU TO INFINITY..........AND BEYOND!!!

Family Lineage

Recently, my niece, cousin, myself and others have been researching our family's lineage on ancestry.com There are a TON of us so tonight I decided to open a facebook page for our family to share pictures and any information they may have regarding our family tree.  So far tonight there have been almost 200 pictures posted, many of which I have never seen before, like this one of my great grandparents on my dad's side.  We have not figured out who the gentleman in the back is yet.
It is WONDERFUL to see these pictures, to finally put faces to the names of those I have heard about all my life.
This is a picture of my Nanny and Grandpa, my dad's parents.  Grandpa died before I was born but Nanny lived till 1996.  She was born in 1900.  It was easy to remember her age because she was as old as the years, making her 96 when she finally passed away.

We now know where our musical abilities came from!  :D

Grandpa is the one in the middle in the back row and
Nanny is in the front row, all the way on the right.

This is the Tombstone of Arent  ~ Dead 1669. He was the first family member to move to Denmark and he was born in Haarlem Holland. He was some sort of ambassadeur of Holland in Denmark. His grave is in front of the altar in the Cathedral in Helsingör in Denmark
This is Jacob Frederik 1765-1844. He was a Danish General and Chamberlain to the Danish king.
Birgitte Eva, Duchess of Gloucester
This is our family's coat of arms.  It was found in a castle in Denmark
It is amazing what you can find when you do a little research!

Busy Hands

"Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody."
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
