Baked Bacon

WE LOVE BACON.....but I dislike the mess it makes on my stove while frying. While I was visiting our daughter a few years ago, I had baked bacon for the first time and I loved it.  It was so easy to prepare and there was no greasy stove or grease to contend with. WOO HOO!

I wanted bacon this morning so I took a few pictures to show you how easy it really is......

First I covered my baking sheet with heavy duty aluminum foil
Lay a cooling rack over your baking sheet
Lightly sprayed a cooling rack with a non-stick spray
Lay out your bacon
Bake in a 375* oven for 20-25 minutes or until the color and crispness you like.
Oven temps may very so be sure to watch it
I don't like my bacon as crispy as some do.
This is perfect for me
A delicious breakfast ~ provolone omelette with a few slices of baked bacon and a
mug of hot rum raisin biscotti tea with a little French vanilla creamer.
😍

Now all I have to do to clean up is let the pan cool, remove and throw out the foil, put the cooling rack in the dishwasher and put away the baking sheet. EASY PEASY!

  1. Hi Laura :)
Baked bacon is the best, and so easy~peasy, I agree!
I like to sprinkle the bacon with maple sugar, just before I pop it in the oven too.

Thanks for the 'how to' for those that haven't given this method a try yet.
I think everyone should make bacon in the oven **smile**.\

p.s. I've started buying the black label pre-cooked bacon at Costco.. even easier than cooking bacon in the oven ~LOL!
