The Simple Woman's Daybook

I have not done this for quite some time and thought today would be the perfect time to start back up. So here goes. . . . . . . .

FOR TODAY... from Laura's Daybook

Outside my window... it is overcast. It has been raining off and on all morning

I am thinking... of how much time I waste each day and am in DESPERATE need of a Time Management overhaul

I am thankful for...
the amazing gift of another day to spend with my precious family

From the Learning Rooms...
we are trying out a new on-line Math curriculum through a FREE trial. I need to also get started on our curriculum for next year. I need to get on top of things more this year. Flying by the seat of my pants is not always a good thing

I am wearing... my pajamas :> )

I am reading...
"Lies Women Believe"

I am hoping... that my daughter's come to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior

On my mind… the salvation of all my family members

From the kitchen..
today I will be making a TON of banana bread to eat and freeze

I am creating... I have two quilts going for "Quilts For Kids" and am also trying to start a skirt for me this week.

I am hearing...
the ceiling fan, my computer, birds chirping, and Kiddo in the other room playing some kind of music! lol

Noticing that…
the lawn is getting pretty looooong

Around the house...
needs a good cleaning

One of my favorite things...
spending time out on the porch in the mornings with a hot cup of coffee, listening to the birds serenade me while talking with my Father!

A Scripture thought...
"I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD. "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future!"

A few plans for the rest of the week...
cleaning up the yard, moving and restacking the wood pile for the stove, more sewing on the quilts and skirt, try to get some more things organized

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

This is my sister Cathy, and her children, Nemo and Boog. Please pray for them as Cathy has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. She has been battling this for about 7 months and they are now treating the kids for it as well.
