May 12th - National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day
I am posting this today in honor of my very dear friend, Daisy, my sister, brother, aunt, cousin, bloggy friends, and all of those who also suffer with Fibromyalgia!
Each May, countless people around the world take part in Fibromyalgia Awareness Day activities. Officially observed on May 12, Awareness Day is designed to increase awareness and understanding of fibromyalgia—a chronic pain disorder that affects 3-5 percent of the world's population.

Hope Begins With You
Join the “Make Fibromyalgia Visible” movement and help us bring hope to everyone with FM. We are relying on you, our National Fibromyalgia Associaion friends around the world, to be the voice of fibromyalgia in your local communities. Through our combined efforts, we can shine the light on Fibromyalgia—not just in May, but in every month of the year.
Every Effort, No Matter How Small, Makes A Difference
One woman may pick up a brochure at your health fair booth, and finally realize there are others suffering along with her. Perhaps a young man sees your story in the newspaper and is inspired to pursue fibromyalgia research. A frustrated spouse may attend your awareness walk and finally connect with others who can offer hope and support in the struggle to be a good caregiver.
Would you please take a minute today and visit my sweet friend, Karen at Faith, Family, and Fibro. She has Fibromyalgia and deals with this disease every day. She is having a giveaway that you can participate in, if you are willing to help spread Fibro Awareness.
I'm doing my part......WILL YOU?

Been having trouble with comments being left today. Is anyone else having this problem?
ReplyDeleteI haven't had time to visit too many blogs today, so I don't know about any comments issues. We'll see after I leave this one!
ReplyDeleteBTW, my aunt (2 years my senior) has Fibro.
Laura,
ReplyDeleteI know so many bloggers that are dealing with this on a daily basis and thank you for bringing this awareness to light today.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
Praying for all those that suffer with this.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of you to post this.
ReplyDeleteI recently read an interesting articale about artifical sweetners and how many people feel better if they stop using them. (They put them in everything, especially aspertame)
