Homade Hairspray

I found this recipe for hairspray over at A Pondering Heart, so of COURSE this frugal female just has to try it! For this recipe, you will need:

a small saucepan
two cups of water
a whole lemon or lime or orange
empty hairspray bottle (recycling)

Cut up the fruit (entire thing. Rind n’ all) into chucks and put into your pan; then add the water. It’s probably a good idea to squeeze the fruit a bit before you add the water. Cover and let it simmer until the rinds are soft. Let the mixture cool, strain, and put into a empty hairspray bottle. Then you’re good to go.
