As most of you know, I am a lover of music and sometimes the words to a song can express far better than I, what I want or need to say.

I am thankful for seeing my in-laws in my kitchen this morning making coffee because it means that they arrived safely from Florida. THANK YOU, JESUS!

I am thankful for my migraine because it means that I AM ALIVE!

I am thankful for the falling leaves outside because it means that fall is coming, bringing cooler temperatures! WOO HOO!

I am thankful for my text messaging on my phone because it means I can send My Skippy Man LOVE notes throughout the day. He also lets me know when he will be coming home so I can have a nice hot meal waiting for him when he returns.

I am thankful for my Food Lion MVP card because it means that I am able to save money on my grocery bill :> )

I am thankful for my friend Joy, because I know that no matter what, she'll be there if I need her.

I am thankful for the noise coming from the family room because it means that my son is alive and healthy. When he was born 16 years ago, the outlook was bleak, but PRAISE GOD, my Father is the Great Physician and my precious son is here with us now.
THANK YOU, JESUS!

I am thankful for my praying friends because no matter what I am in need of, they will pray for me and others!

I am thankful for the pile of dirty work clothes my husband has because it means that he is employed!

I am thankful for the dirty dishes in my sink because it means that we have food to eat and we are not hungry.

I am thankful for having to order curriculum and do lesson plans, because it means that I live in a country where I am able to homeschool my children and teach them according to Biblical principle.

I am thankful for my precious pug, Pheobe, because no matter how bad my day has gone or how much of a grouchy mood I am in, or no matter how many mistakes I have made throughout the day, she is always there with her cute little pig curled tail and precious little snort and puppy dog kisses, making all the yuckies of my day just disappear!

This week I am thankful for my daughter, Bean. She has been such a big help to me getting things ready for Skippy and Tex's surprise birthday party tomorrow. (I don't have to worry about Skippy finding out, he doesn't have time to read my blog!) lol

She has been helping me paint, move furniture, and cut down overgrown brush in the backyard. THANK YOU, BEAN....You are AWESOME!

I am thankful for my sight and hearing. What a blessing it is to be able to see my children and hear them laugh. PRECIOUS!

I am thankful for the young man next door. He and Kiddo have struck up a friendship and have been playing outside everyday. While I am getting things picked up inside, they are playing video games and popcorn, but will be going out while I mow the yard. He is such a sweetie and I thank God they have become good friends.

I am VERY thankful that My Skippy Man has a job. It is almost impossible to find a job in our area so even though he is not to fond of his job, PRAISE GOD he has one. I sometimes don't like the CRAZY hours he works, and it doesn't give us a lot of extra time to spend together, but I know this is where God wants/needs him to be right now.

What am I thankful for? WHERE DO I START?!?!?!?!? There are so many things in my life that I am thankful for and it would be impossible, as well as time consuming, to list them all. So..........

Here is my list of the top 6 things that I am most thankful for:

• God, our Heavenly Father - For his unconditional love and abundant grace and blessings he has bestowed upon me. I am rich beyond my wildest dreams!!!! Thank you, Jesus!
  
  
• My DH of 23 years - I am thankful for your love of God and family. For your friendship, understanding, and forgiveness. For those late weekend nights watching 24 and eating popcorn, or just holding me when I cry, even if it's over something as crazy as fabric softener. For having the faith in me to homeschool Kiddo. I know it is a BIG financial hardship on us, but it is the best thing that we have ever done for him, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in us both.....You, Dah Maayaaan!!!!! Thank you for putting up with me all these years!

• My 3 beautiful children - I have been very blessed to have Goose, Bean, and Kiddo in my life. Yes, at times, they drive me CRRRRAAAAZY, but I would NEVER trade them for anything in this world......THEY ARE MY LIFE! I have my faults, and I am in no way perfect. I have made my share of mistakes and I am sure I will continue to make more throughout my life. I haven't met anyone who doesn't. But how fortunate we are to have a loving Father who forgives our mistakes! I only hope that I have been as big a blessing in some way to them, as they have been such a tremendous blessing to me!
  


• My family - although we are miles apart, scattered from NY to FL to TX to OR, we are never far from each other's hearts. Thank you for being there for me. I Love and Miss you all!
  
  
• My Church family - They are the most caring, loving, friendly, compassionate group of the BEST people in the world. We are very lucky to be a part of the family of God!
  


• My Friends - Whenever I need an ear to vent, someone to watch my guy, or even just a place of "refuge" you guys are always there for me. Oh yea, and to YOU KNOW WHO ~~Even when I call and say need to borrow that can of refried pinto beans or a can of tomato sauce, I can always count on your answer to be the same every time.................................."YES, NOW GET YOURSELF OVER HERE AND GET THEM OUT OF THE PANTRY YOURSELF!!!" lol
