OMGosh.........Are You Serious?

I was random blogging tonight, when I came across a post that made me remember something Kiddo had said to me a couple of years ago. We had just gone to pick up Bean from work at her scheduled release time, but they were not yet finished, so Kiddo and I decided to wait for her in the car.

While we were waiting, I decided to call my friend, Sonnie. She was 45 at the time and I WAS 43. (EEEEKKK!!!) We talked about her upcoming move into her new home, how she was doing in her new job, and the usual.......what's going on with you sort of thing. We then started talking about how so many things had changed since when we were young and growing up and where we were "now" at this stage in our lives. I looked over at my precious son playing his Game Boy and said to her with a smile on my face, "I wonder what Kiddo will be like when he is our age, Sonnie?" Well, without looking up or missing a beat, but with a HUGE smile on his precious face he said.............

"I. . . . .WILL BE OLD!"

THIS IS INSANE!

Prince Georges County, MD

1,600 school children and their parents have been ordered to appear in circuit court this Saturday where health workers will immediately FORCE them to receive required shots. Parents who don't bring their children to court for the shots are to be jailed.

"We can do this the easy way or we can do this the hard way, but it's going to have to get done." said State Attorney Glenn Ivey.

The following video is from FOX News on a controversial new law in Massachusetts where the police can vaccinate adults against their will, jail people who refuse to get the shot, while the police can remove children from their parents in order to have the children vaccinated.

I don't have the words to describe how I am feeling about this! This is CRAZY!!!

Oh, Come On People.......

This is what happens when you spend time with Google Queen, Renee! These are things that she found on Fox 4 Dallas, Ft. Worth stations.

And I quote, "I told you we have weird people here! Don't you just love TX news?"

OMGosh.......Are You Serious?

The other day I received a notice in the mail that I was overdrawn, due to a debit transaction. So this morning, I went to the bank to get it all straightened out. I spent about a 1/2 hour there with whom I must say, was one of the nicest bank tellers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Now that doesn't mean that my EXPERIENCE there was nice....just the teller!

After numerous calls to the main branch, we found out that about two weeks ago, when I purchased a hot chocolate and a pumpkin spiced cappuccino, I used my debit card. (umm...this, I already knew!) When I made this transaction, I apparently only had $1.99 in my account, and the coffees came to $2.16, thereby making me $.17 cents short. Well, when this happened, the bank IMMEDIATELY charged me an overdraft fee of $35.00, which then made my account even MORE in the negative. So, when the next two debit transactions that came through, there was NOTHING and I mean NOTHING, in the bank to cover them.

Well, to make this story short and not to make me want to run to the little girls room and be sick.....my $2.16 cent coffee transaction ended up costing me a WHOPPING $99.75 cents. OMGosh......ARE YOU SERIOUS? For that price, I would have wanted it served to me in bed in gold coffee mugs, while a strapping Norwegian man named SIG, showered me with an armload of wildflowers and chocolate!

OMGosh....Are You Serious?

For Kiddo's birthday, my friend Daisy and her daughters, Sunshine and Wild Flower, gave him a little hand-held game called 20 Questions and it is REALLY cool!!!! You think of an object, and it asks you 20 questions which you answer with, YES, NO, or SOMETIMES, and by the responses you give, it guesses what your object is. I have tried this about 10 times and it has only missed once, and that is because I answered one of the questions wrong. Next time, I will answer YES when it asks if my object (a match) burns!

Well, the other day, Kiddo picked it up again after a awhile and gave and was playing with it. He stood there, answered all the questions, and then said............

"DARN!! I don't know how it knew my answer. I whispered really softly so it wouldn't hear what I was saying!"

My response was....what else....OMGosh....are you serious? What else could I do but laugh!

OMGosh........

I am amazed that all of a sudden, Kiddo wants to do his schoolwork instead of unloading the dishwasher. What is his reasoning? "Finishing my school work and being done for the year is far more important than doing the dishes!" OMGosh.....Are You Serious? Now where has THAT thinking been the past nine months? ROFLOL!

OMGosh.....Are You Serious?!?!?

In between ironing material, blog-surfing, and breaking up the snarling and growling matches between Mollie, the fur baby we are watching, and our cats last night, I was chatting with my sweet friend, Renee. I asked if she saw the picture I had posted above my scalloped vadalia onion recipe. (it was a cute little pic of two onions turned upside with faces on them with their roots for hair) I went back to view my post to see if my brother had shown up and left a comment, and noticed that I had no sidebar. WHAT? There is no sidebar?

"RENEEEEEEEEE!!!!" my fat fingers typed, "What happend to my blog? My sidebar is gone. Wait a minute....not it's not. It's........ON THE BOTTOM?" Well, faster than I could say, "OMGosh, Skippy.....we're out of toilet paper!" Renee was over trying to help me figure out the problem. I looked at my layout, thinking maybe I had SOMEHOW moved the gadget boxes around, but everything was RIGHT WHERE IT SHOULD BE!

Well, for about 45 minutes to an hour (correct me if I'm wrong Renee) we tried using a new template, a new background, or trying this, or trying that, but every time, the result was still the same......sidebar on the bottom. Ok, by now I am REALLY starting to become frustrated. "Renee....is there some kind of customer service section on here? If not, I'm just going to leave it and go to bed. Maybe it's just a glitch on blogger and in the morning, everything will be back the way it should be."

"Hold on a minute", she said, "Let me look."

Well, this girl can find a "french fry" in a room full of hungry toddlers, I'm telling you! Within 30 seconds, not only did she find the help section, but she found a post that said..."HELP...my sidebar is on the bottom of my blog!" ROFLOL! Blog Queen Renee, to the rescue! LOL After reading the post, I was amazed to find out that something as simple as a code being too long (I didn't know that was possible) or a pic being too big, can make your sidebar move around on your blog. OMGosh.....Are You Serious?!?!?(insert look of utter amazement here)

So, back to my blog I go, determined now to figure out which code or pic was the culprit. First, I quickly scanned each post, looking for a picture that was obviously too big...nothing. Then I went back, starting with the most recent post, to look through the html code. Hmmmm.....wait a minute.......this problem didn't start until AFTER I posted my scalloped vadalia onion recipe. No.....it couldn't be.......THE ONION PIC? I immediately went back and deleted that adorable little picture and what do you know.........WAHOOO......MY SIDEBAR IS BACK! YES!!!!

I know that onions make me cry when I cut them....but I had NO IDEA how much onions would make me cry when I posted about them! ROFLOL!

Blessings~
Laura

P.S. I'm sorry, BLOGGER, for ever doubting that this problem COULD HAVE BEEN your fault!

OMGosh.....Are You Serious?!?!?

The other day, Kiddo and I were outside saying goodbye to my sister, C, when all of a sudden, Kiddo leans over and says:

Kiddo: "Hey, Mom.....what year were you born in? 1965 or 1865?"

Mom: "OMGoooooosh.......ARE YOU SERIOUS?" ROFLOL!!!

Blessings~
